  • Writing Support
    The Learning Commons provides all students with college writing support through writing fellows and consultant programs, learning strategies sessions, and academic tutoring and resources. 
  • Academic Advising
    Each student is assigned a faculty adviser who helps them design a plan of study and adjust to the demands of college work and college life. Each student is also assigned to a dean who provides supplemental advising.
  • Career Development
    The Career Development Office (CDO) helps students translate their liberal arts education to the workplace. The CDO staff offers career counseling, job and internship guidance, recruiting events, career assessment, and much more.

    All Bard College students are members of the Bard Student Government (BSG). BSG works to improve student services and residential life, represents student interests in curricular and training matters on campus, and administers funding for more than 150 student organizations. Get involved and make a difference on campus.

    Center for Civic Engagement
    Civic engagement is at the core of Bard’s identity as a private college for the public good. Through Bard's Center for Civic Engagement, students may start their own public service projects, join an existing project, and get involved in local, national, and international initiatives.
