"Winning public space for the public good in New York City"

Lindsey Lusher Shute is the Director of Environmental Campaigns at Transportation Alternatives (T.A) in New York City. She is the co-author of the reports, "I Walk in My Street", and "Streets to Live By." Previously, she worked with the Institute of Nature and Society in OaxacaMexico and, as a volunteer, founded the Red Shed Community Garden in Brooklyn. Lindsey also owns Pistil Farm, a local flower farm, with support from her husband Benjamin, owner of Hearty Roots Farm. Lindsey holds an MS from Bard Center for Environmental Policy and a BFA from New York University.
