About the Master Class in Photography

Bard College offers a Master Class in Photography, a one-on-one tutorial for young photographers who have completed their undergraduate or graduate education and are entering the life of working artists.

Master Class students choose a faculty adviser. The student and the adviser meet at intervals appropriate to the student's work, for example, every six or eight weeks. During each semester of the Master Class, distinguished visiting artists meet individually with Master Class students. Once a year the student and three of the program's faculty members participate in a major review of the student’s work .

The Master Class in Photography is a certificate, not a degree, program.
