There are three (3) qualifications a student must meet for admission into HEOP.

Bard Opportunity Program Scholarship
There are three (3) qualifications a student must meet for admission into HEOP.
- First, the student must be a resident of New York State.
- Second, a student is eligible if he or she is not admissible under Bard's regular admission guidelines due to an under-resourced academic background. This standard changes each year as Bard adapts to the national standards of each year's high school graduating class.
- Third, a student is eligible if he or she meets the financial criteria for economic disadvantage set by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).

Bard Opportunity Program Scholarship
In order to be considered for a Bard Opportunity Program Scholarship, a student must:
- Be a US citizen or US permanent resident
- Be a high school graduate by June 30, 2010
- Have a high school grade point average (GPA) of at least 85
- Demonstrate significant financial need. To qualify for the BOP Scholars program, families must apply for financial aid and meet the following estimated earning guidelines:
