The day after the official arrival day, Helena Gibbs will welcome the new tutors and direct them to a tour of the campus given by a guide from Admissions. The tour will include the Library (with Betsy Cawley), Computer Center (with Paul Bogausch or Stasha Mayhew), Health Center (with Micki Strawinski), Center for Foreign Languages and Cultures (with Stephanie Kufner), and Stevenson Gym.

Each FLET must visit the Human Resources office to fill out the essential tax forms. They will not be on payroll until the forms are complete.

Janet Kettler will meet with the FLETs to help them obtain Social Security cards. This usually involves a van trip to the Poughkeepsie Social Security office.

Reception

A wine-and-cheese reception offered by the Dean of the College, Michele Dominy, is held to welcome the new FLETs. All language faculty members are invited. The reception usually takes place in the Manor House.
