The Dean of Students Office (DOSO) is concerned with the quality of college life. It seeks to enhance the value of the undergraduate experience by encouraging students to participate actively in the community, be concerned about their peers, and explore personal matters that affect their individual pursuits and the community.

  • Staff Updates
    It is with great pride that I introduce new staff members and congratulate returning staff this fall. All of us in student services join together in welcoming you back to campus. There is much exciting and interesting work ahead of us this year.
  • Bard Summer Research Institute (BSRI)
    BSRI supports campus based summer research by students in empirical/quantitative fields— anthropology, biology, chemistry, computer science, economics, mathematics, physics, psychology, and sociology. Faculty mentors in these fields can apply to BSRI for funds to support student researchers.
  • BRAVE Updates
    Bard Response to Rape and Associated Violence Education (BRAVE) is a professionally directed student service organization whose members provide crisis counseling, supportive interventions, advocacy and education to the Bard community.
  • Athletics Updates
    Keep up to date on: changes in our staff; our varsity, club, and intramural sports; and our 20th Anniversary Celebration.
  • Bard College Family Weekend 2008
    On October 24-26 Bard College Family Weekend offers families an opportunity to sample the academic and social activities enjoyed by students at the College. The three-day program of events includes classes from the curriculum led by members of the faculty, discussion panels, thematic campus tours, and performing art events.
  • "Georgia and Future of US-Russian Relations"
    Presented by BGIA and West Point-Bard Exchange on Monday, September 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room, Campus Center
  • Election 2008
    election.bard.edu and Bard Student Government are pleased to be co-sponsoring a host of election events this fall including televised presidential speeches and debates, voter registration information, and election night coverage.
