Awarded to one or more exceptional AmeriCorps volunteers who have successfully completed their term of service, this fellowship assists public service-oriented individuals to continue their work as professionals in environment-related fields through advanced educational training in the BCEP Graduate Program. Luce Fellowship
The Luce Fellowship, a part of the BCEP Learning Across Borders program funded by the Henry Luce Foundation, offers a full-tuition and housing award to international students selected in coordination with academic institutions and other professional organizations in their home countries. The fellowship is for the one-year course of study resulting in a professional certificate. Milner’s Fund Fellowship

Nancy Mathews ’64 Internship Fund
This fund offers assistance to a student who accepts an unpaid internship in the nonprofit or public sector. Priority is given to applicants at an internship in the greaterHudson Valley region who have demonstrated efforts to secure external funding for the internship. The fund honors the memory of Bard graduate Nancy Mathews, a lifelong environmentalist with deep roots in upstate New York and the Hudson Valley. A naturalist and enthusiastic birder, she approached environmental problems with careful research, attention to the many dimensions of an issue, and an infectious sense of excitement. A major contributor to the fund is the Lawson Valentine Foundation, in support of students accepting unpaid internships in the nonprofit sector.
James Madison Graduate Fellowships
The James Madison Memorial Fellowship Foundation was established by Congress in 1986 for the purpose of improving teaching about the United States Constitution in secondary schools. The Foundation is an independent agency of the Executive Branch of the federal government. Funding for the Foundation's programs comes from Congress and generous contributions from individuals, foundations, and corporations. Math for America Fellowship
The Bard College MAT Program formed a partnership that will provide MfA Fellowships to support the graduate studies of prospective teachers for New York City schools. This represents an exciting opportunity for mathematics, computer science and engineering majors to discover a rewarding career in the secondary schools of New York City. The Carroll and Milton Petrie Fellowships for New York City Teachers
The Petrie Fellowship Program at Bard College was established in August 2004 through a generous grant from the Carroll and Milton Petrie Foundation. Full tuition grants are made by the MAT Program to qualified students through a selection process that considers academic competence, teaching and leadership potential, financial need, and a commitment to working as an educator in the New York City public schools. The Knowles Science Teaching Foundation for Mathematics
In the United States, approximately half of all secondary teachers leave the teaching profession within five years. Research on issues of recruitment, retention and induction of secondary science and mathematics teachers indicates that among key challenges facing beginning teachers are a sense of professional isolation and a lack of support and mentoring. The KSTF Teaching Fellowship program was explicitly designed to meet these needs of beginning high school science and mathematics teachers as they earn a teaching credential and through the early years of their career. Ford Foundation Diversity Fellowships
The Ford Foundation Diversity Fellowships seek to increase the diversity of the nation’s college and university faculties by increasing their ethnic and racial diversity, to maximize the educational benefits of diversity, and to increase the number of professors who can and will use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students.

Types of Fulbright grants:

English Teaching Assistantships (ETA): ETAs are placed in schools or universities outside of major cities and assigned various activities designed to improve their students’ language abilities and knowledge of the country-region while increasing their own language skills and knowledge of the host country.
Jack Kent Cooke Foundation
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s Graduate Scholarship Program enables a select group of remarkable students with demonstrated financial need to pursue graduate or professional study. The Foundation selects approximately 50 college seniors and recent graduates each year and awards up to $50,000 per year to each selected Scholar for up to six years.
