Academic Leave of Absence (to study within the US) Use this form to request permission for an academic leave of absence from Bard College to study at another academic institution. Use this form only if you plan to earn credits towards your Bard degree by spending a semester at another institution within the United States.

Independent Study
Use this form only if you plan to earn credit by completing a project outside the College’s regular course structure. The project must have demonstrated academic value and result in a body of work that will be assessed by a Bard College faculty member.
