The Astor Home Theater Class
The Astor Home Theater Group offers the opportunity for children at The Astor Home to experience the joys of theater. Once a week, Bard students will teach a theater class with the goal of putting on a play. The class involves leraning improv, Shakespeare, theater history, and performance studies. It is a great opportunity for the children to be part of a safe and fun group in which they can goof around but also learn a lot. For children who are overcoming obstacles in their lives, this program will support them to feel appreciated, listened to, and acknowledged.
