Emergencies

In case of illness or injury DURING hours:

Call the Health Service at ext 7433. Please note that "walk-ins" are accepted only in cases of medical emergencies. If necessary, arrangements can be made with Campus Safety and Security for transportation to the Health Service.

In case of illness or injury AFTER hours:

If you are on campus, call Bard Emergency Medical Service (BEMS) at ext. 7777 or, call Security at ext .7460 or, go to the Emergency Room at Northern Dutchess Hospital (route 9 in Rhinebeck; phone 845-876-3001).

In case of an emergency ON CAMPUS:

BEMS and Security can handle minor problems and will arrange emergency transportation if necessary. Call BEMS at ext. 7777 or call Security at ext. 7460. 911 calls cannot be placed directly from dormitory telephones.

In case of an emergency OFF CAMPUS:

Call 911 or go immediately to the nearest emergency room.
