The Henderson Computer Resources Center provides a complete array of information technology services to members of the Bard community. These include:

  • Installation and maintenance of Bard's high speed data network, public computing labs, printing facilities, and web server administration.
  • The Helpdesk provides technical, hardware, and software support for computers in use by Bard faculty and administrative staff.
  • Support for the College's residential network which extends Bard's high speed data network to student dorm rooms across the campus.
  • Curriculum Support service to encourage, coordinate and support the use of information technology in the institution's academic endeavors.
  • Training and Documentation services available to all members of the Bard community designed to educate users on the effective use of information technology both on campus and beyond.
  • Recommendations for equipment and software purchases, and minimum computer configurations.

For those who wish to purchase* a computer for personal use at Bard, the Henderson staff recommends the models below. For those who already own a computer, see our minimum configurations.
