Uploading Content to your Personal web space at Bard

FTP Settings

Basic settings for connecting to your personal web space.

1. Open FTP Software

2. Create a New Connection
In your connect window, enter the following settings:
  • Host/Server:  ftp.bard.edu
  • Type/Protocol: SFTP
  • Username/id: <Bard email username>
  • Password: <Bard email password>
  • Directory: /www/
  • Port: 21

Accessing Your files Online

How do users access my web page?

When your files are uploaded, your web page is accessed at the following address:

For Faculty & Staff: http://inside.bard.edu/~username
For Students: http://student.bard.edu/~username

You username is your e-mail login or e-mail address minus the @bard.edu.
Note: don't forget the tilde (~) character. Your page won't load without the character.

Remember, anything you put on your web page is PUBLIC can, in theory, be accessed by anyone in the world with a web browser.
