The BITS Helpdesk is the primary contact for all students, faculty, and staff for computing and technology issues. The Helpdesk provides technical, hardware, and software support for all Bard-owned computers including network and e-mail issues, password recovery, printing assistance.

The Helpdesk is manned by  Joe DeFranco, Laura Morano, Gregory Casazza, and Bob Hagan, and is open M-F, 9am-5pm.  We are located in New Henderson 109 and 100a.

Requesting Support

The BITS Computer Helpdesk services computers owned by the college and operates computer labs in Henderson Technology Laboratories, Henderson Computing Resources Center, Avery Arts Center, and Bertelsmann Campus Center.  We also coordinate with BITS Networks & Systems and B&G Telecom to resolve network issues on campus and at Bard facilities in Red Hook, NY.

Problems in our computer labs should be brought to the attention of Helpdesk Staff at extension 7500 during regular business hours, or to the student Lab Monitor on-duty after hours.

Students seeking network support, as well as faculty and staff seeking any IT support with their Bard-owned computers or network access on campus, can contact us at 845-758-7500 or by email at helpdesk@bard.edu to create a service ticket.  Clients can also create and submit their own tickets by logging in at http://webhelpdesk.bard.edu with their regular Bard credentials (email username and password).

The Helpdesk is currently hiring student technicians.  Students interested in working for BITS in future semesters should continue to check back here and at College Central for updates.  Application forms can be obtained by helpdesk staff in the New Henderson building.  We are open M-F, 9-5.
