Ulster County Recycling (if you live in Northern Dutchess, your waste probably goes across the river (double check with your hauler)- here are their Recycling Rules (pdf) and website

note:  all Bard items go via Ulster county so you follow the same rules here and at home.

Have things to give away?  The Freecycle Network™ is made up of many individual groups across the globe. It's a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. Join here: http://www.freecycle.org/  or try Hudson Valley Ecycle:   HudsonValleyEcycle

Check your county resource recovery agency and your village or town to find out how to handle special waste items.
