Lecture by Lindsey Lusher Shute, Director of Environmental Campaigns at Transporation Alternatives in New York City

"Winning public space for the public good in New York City"

Lindsey Lusher Shute is the Director of Environmental Campaigns at Transportation Alternatives (T.A) in New York City. She is the co-author of the reports, "I Walk in My Street", and "Streets to Live By." Previously, she worked with the Institute of Nature and Society in OaxacaMexico and, as a volunteer, founded the Red Shed Community Garden in Brooklyn. Lindsey also owns Pistil Farm, a local flower farm, with support from her husband Benjamin, owner of Hearty Roots Farm. Lindsey holds an MS from Bard Center for Environmental Policy and a BFA from New York University.

The Performance is the Performance, The Document is the Document: A Conversation with Carola Dertnig

In conjunction with her installation and performance Lora Sana: I Was There and Not There on view in the CCS Bard Galleries from March 8 through April 5, artist Carola Dertnig will speak with second-year graduate student curator Wendy Vogel about this work in relation to other projects. Her interest in performance history and its documentation, collective and individual feminist action, and intervention in the processes of history writing will be among the topics discussed.  This talk is co-sponsored by CCS Bard and the Art History Department at Bard College
