In The Cold Winter
By S.D.

Once, in a far away place, there lived a girl named Sunshine Girl. There was another girl named Peace Girl. Their parents' names were Flower Mom and Father Need.

It was a cold night and their parents went to bed. When they woke up the next morning, all of their wools were gone. They went berserk. They thought it was a big joke. The following night they went to bed feeling very cold. The two children stayed up all night trying to figure out a way to keep their parents warm. "It is very cold outside" said Peace Girl. How can we go outside?

They peeked out of the long house window. They couldn't find or see any animals to take wool from. Then their parents woke up from all the noise. Their parents asked them what they were doing. They said; they did not feel well. Then Peace Girl and Sunshine girl and their parents went to sleep.

The next morning their parents said "we need warmth." At night we expect some wool for warmth. Their father said "go outside and get wool." "But?" said Peace Girl. "Their Father said no buts about it." So they finally went outside in the cold. They almost froze but they grabbed an animal and shaved all its' wool off with a piece of churt. They brought it in. Their parents said, "why did you shave so many?" "Because we thought you needed this much." Their parents said, "we forgot to tell you. We could have made a fire place with wood and then rubbed two sticks together." So they made a fire.
