Indians
by J.G.

Once upon a time there was an Indian boy who was named Brave Bear. He went out hunting for deer. It was a sunny, very cold day. There were lots of deer. He shot a buck and they had it for dinner. The next morning, he went hunting for turkey to keep his people alive. They did not have a lot a food. He had to cut up the turkey with a special tool that was very sharp. That night it was rainy and cold and some of the Lenape got very sick and died. The next day they were attacked by their enemies and more Lenape died. Their village was destroyed, and Brave Bear also died. Brave Bear's tool that he used to cut up food was found in the village by scientists. They brought it to the science lab to find out what it was. They said it was used by Indians to cut or grind things. They put it in a museum for everybody to see.
