The Q Exam
All students at Bard College must take and pass a course in Mathematics, Computing, Statistics, or Logic before graduation. In order to enroll in such courses, a student must take and pass the Q Exam. The exam consists of three sections:
1. Basic Arithmetic and Statistics
2. Algebra
3. Geometry
Use of a calculator with a square root function is expected.
You must pass all three sections in order to be considered Q eligible. If you fail any section, you will need to retake that section until you pass it. To schedule to take the Q exam, contact Jan Rizzuti, the Director of Quantitative Literacy.
