Arabic: The Arabic department offers Intensive Arabic in the fall followed by a spring course.The intensive student can study in a 6-week summer immersion program at the Arabic Language Institute in Fez, Morocco.

Chinese: The Chinese department offers Chinese I the fall semester and Chinese II Intensive (8 credits) in the spring. |
Every year in collaboration with Vassar, Bard takes intensive student to Qingdao University in Beijing, China for 1-8 weeks (6 credits).

German: The German Department offers a spring German Immersion course (12 credits).Immersion students have the option of attending Collegium Palatinum in Heidelberg, Germany for four weeks in June (4 credits). This course is offered Spring 2006 and every other year.

Hebrew: Hebrew I is offered in the fall and Beginning Hebrew II is offered in the spring. Hebrew students can follow-up with a four-week course, offered every year, in June/July at the University of Haifa in Israel (4 credits).

Italian: The Italian Department offers an Accelerated Italian for the fall semester. Four weeks of Intensive Italian is offered every year at the Accademia del Giglio in Florence, Italy during the January Intersession (4 credits). Professor: Joseph Luzzi |

Japanese: Japanese is offered in the fall and Intensive Japanese (8 credits) is offered in the spring. Every year for five weeks at the end of May through July the student can study at Kyoto Seika University in Kyoto, Japan (5 credits).

Russian: The Russian Department offers Basic Russian in the fall and Intensive Russian (8 credits) in the spring as a follow-up course. |
For four-five weeks every June/July, the student can study at Smolny Institute in St. Petersburg, Russia.
