Harry Turney-High Fund
The Harry Turney-High Fund The Anthropology Program has a small endowed fund, established in 1980, available to students for research and academically related travel purposes. The fund honors Bard/St. Stephens' first graduate Harry Tuney-High to become a professional anthropologist who wrote many articles and books, including Primitive War: Its Practices and Concepts. The availability of the fund varies each year. Any moderated students are eligible to apply by writing letters of requests to the program's faculty. Some examples of legitimate funding include, but are not limited to, travel to professional meetings or for research purposes (archival, museum, fieldwork, libraries, interviews), film, tape, film developing, xeroxing, registration and living expenses at professional meetings, transcription of tapes, illustrations for projects, etc.
