Research area: Artificial intelligence, specifically multi-agent systems. Currently I'm interested in
 

  • formal models of intentions and intentional actions
  • agent coordination schemes that maximize agent autonomy
  • research in computer science education
  • issues relating to women in computing
I received my Ph.D. in 1993 from Stanford University 's Computer Science Department, where I worked in the Nobotics group.
